This newly constructed hospital will serve patients recovering from strokes, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The 50-bed hospital will be a joint venture partnership between Dignity and Kindred Healthcare and is currently under construction in Chandler, Arizona. The PRN Speech Therapist assumes responsibility and accountability for a designated caseload and provides speech therapy evaluations, modalities and treatments in accordance with established hospital and department policies and procedures, maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care. A Speech Therapist accurately assesses patients' needs; identifies and initiates appropriate therapy interventions; provides patient and family teaching; and works cooperatively with other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional therapy practice and interdisciplinary teamwork.
